110 public service vehicles impounded, Rs2,26,000 fine imposed for violating corona SOPs Top Story April 2, 2021 ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI: The national tally on Thursday of total active COVID-19 cases was recorded 53,127 with 4,974 more people tested positive for the deadly virus and 2,148 people recovered from the disease during the last 24 hours. Ninety-eight corona patients have died during past 24 hours, 88 of whom were under treatment in hospital and 10 out of the hospital in their respective quarantines or homes, according to the latest update issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC). During the last 24 hours most of the deaths had occurred in the Punjab followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Khukchung Gangri, also known as the No 1 Glacier of the Lhasa Valley, is the nearest glacier to the regional capital, Lhasa. It first opened to the public in 2019. Tsering Lhashung, a manager at Damshung County Changthang Culture and Tourism Development, said it takes less than three hours to drive from Lhasa to the site entrance, about 5,500 meters above sea level.
